THE RIGHT SOLUTION. THE RIGHT TIME.
When repair work is needed, property and business owners may not have budgeting for this contingency. When immediate problems arise (such as potholes and water-pooling) they present a liability. Immediate problems require quick solutions, with a long-term solution underway. Patching is a common asphalt repair for pavement areas with potholes.
Potholes occur when water seeps into pavement through unsealed or improperly sealed cracks. When water freezes, it expands and enlarges the crack. When ice under the pavement melts, a void is left. Surrounding pavement falls into the void and forms a pothole.
Other times, potholes are created simply from high traffic flow and a weakness in the asphalt and/or the base.
Having a proper assessment performed to identify all potholes (as well as cracks that are becoming potholes) will be most cost-efficient choice until the long-term solution can be put in place.
